What’s in your closet that could find love in a new home? Make room in your closet by giving to a local charity during the Runwayz Fashion Donation Drive. Before our evening Runwayz Fashion Party on November 19, 2021, organizations will be onsite with donation bins accepting coats, jackets, and fashions of all sizes in good or excellent condition.

Your donation of new or gently worn items can help fellow Arkansans stay warm and confident this season. It may also help the environment by saving excess waste.

According to the Washington Post, the volume of textiles Americans sent to landfills skyrocketed from 1.7 million tons in 1960 to 11.15 million tons in 2017. The average consumer disposes of 70 pounds of textiles per year, and around 85% of all textiles thrown away in the US are either dumped into landfill or burned, instead of being recycled.

As we recognize local fashion leaders and resources, we want to raise awareness about this important issue and provide ways for people to act responsibly.
